The new academic year has started and I was delighted to welcome a new intake to the University of Edinburgh who have joined the Edinburgh Labour Students society.  We had a Labour and Lattes event at Spoon to discuss politics and student life in Edinburgh. Brexit may have come up during the afternoon.

I was a little disturbed to hear that “Freshers’ Week” has been replaced by “Welcome Week”. Not sure that has the same ring to it but everyone seemed to be having a good week nonetheless.
