Telecommunications giant Vodafone submitted proposals to install a 20m high mast next to the iconic Morningside Clock.

This is an absolutely ridiculous proposal. Not only would the mast dwarf the clock it would also seriously impede the community Christmas tree. The application is closed for comments but you can still view the proposals using the reference: 22/00407/FUL

The very minimum due diligence on this site would have revealed it is completely unsuitable for this kind of equipment. I hope Vodafone will do the right thing and withdraw this application.
