Ian Murray MP Working Hard for Edinburgh South

I am delighted that the Council has officially bid to the UK Government’s Levelling Up fund for the Inch Park regeneration project.
It wasn’t long ago that we fought off proposals for housing in the plant nursery of Inch Park so to be where we are now is really positive. I’ve been working closely with the council and the proposals contain a reinstated walled garden, a nature trail, a community café and retail space as well as fitness equipment and an all weather 4G pitch. What’s planned will make Inch Park a truly multi functional park like Saughton which will be great for the Inch and the wider South Edinburgh area.
This is a great bid but if it’s not successful I pledge to campaign relentlessly for funding from other sources, whether that be Council or Scottish Government.
