Whilst we should remember that burglaries are still rare, it is in the best interest of everyone in the community if we take small steps to guard against break-ins. This morning, I received the following information from PC Welsh, the local Community Officer, after•several burglaries around South Edinburgh recently.

‘There have been 2 in Buckstone Terrace and Road and an attempt in Buckstone Rise. There has also been one in Oxgangs Road.

•

These have either occurred during the day or evening time and by entering the property from rear garden and forcing door or window or smashing door or window.

•

Small electronic items have been stolen, as well as•jewellery and cash. There have also been further break-ins in the Currie area where cars have been taken.’

Can everybody please be vigilant and phone the police immediately with regard to any suspicious activity.
