I was delighted to give a short talk to members of Morningside Justice and Peace organisation outlining how Parliament works before fielding a series of questions from the audience.

My talked covered Parliamentary mechanisms such Early Day Motions, Private Members Bills and 10 Minute Rule Bills. Although quite a dry subject, it is important to outline how these processes can be used by individuals and organisations to pressure Government.

After my talk I answered questions from the audience on the UN, Brexit, Longannet Power Station, Proportional representation, and Trident. Before heading upstairs for a coffee and a chat.
