Residents in Moredun will be very disappointed that the Scotmid on Moredun Park Road has been temporarily shut.

Traces of asbestos were found in the store and Scotmid have shut the premises as a precaution. This, of course, has meant that the Post Office located within Scotmid has shut temporarily.

We now have the ridiculous situation where two neighbouring communities in the Inch and Moredun are without Post Office services. This is simply not good enough and a poor reflection on the Post Office’s franchising programme.
