Twelve young people die suddenly every week due to cardiac arrest.

I signed the Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) pledge calling for a national prevention strategy. The UK needs a national strategy to ensure the guidelines and policies to prevent young sudden cardiac death are consistent. The first stage of a national strategy should be to correctly acknowledge the incidence of these deaths.

A big congratulations to Abby Lang of Harris Academy for organising the campaign.
