SGN are investing £148,000 in planning a project to upgrade the local gas supply network in the Blacket Place area of Edinburgh. The contractors George Ritchie & Son will begin work on Monday 25 March 2019 and will take around six weeks to complete.
Parking will be suspended on both sides of:
Blacket Place
Mayfield Terrace
Alfred Place
Blacket Avenue (between Minto Street and Blacket Place)
Road Closures:
Duncan Street junction with Minto Street
Blacket Avenue between Minto Street and Dryden Place
Blacket Place between Mayfield Terrace and Dalkeith Road
Dryden Terrace junction with Blacket Place
Mayfield Terrace between Minto Street and Dalkeith Road
Temporary traffic signals will be on Minto Street and these may cause delays during peak periods.
SGN are investing £142,000 to upgrade the gas network in the Craiglea Drive area of Edinburgh. This essential work involves replacing our old, metal pipe with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.
The work will begin on Monday 8 April and last for approximately 12 weeks.

Craiglea Drive both sides between St Ronan’s Terrace and Morningside Grove
Morningside Grove 15-30 (both sides)
St Clair Terrace 21 – junction with Craiglea Drive
Road Closures:
St Ronans Terrace junction with Craiglea Drive (both junctions)
St Fillan’s Terrace junction with Craiglea Drive
St Ninian’s Terrace junction with Craiglea Drive
St Clair Terrace junction with Craiglea Drive (both junctions)
