Robin Morris, who died in 2018, was a super-active campaigner for his local community. Frequently to be seen around Morningside and Bruntsfield picking up litter, or chatting to local people about local issues, Robin was ideally placed for formal involvement with Merchiston Community Council, on which he served for twenty years, first as Secretary, then Vice Chair then Chair. He was also an active member of FOMBL (Friends of the Meadows & Bruntsfield Links) and had become its Treasurer shortly before his death. A memorial bench has been unveiled on Bruntsfield Links to mark his many contributions to the local area.
The photo shows Robin’s widow Roz seated left on the bench, surrounded by some of his family, friends and colleagues.
