Welcome to my Build Better Places page, which contains information about how I am working to improve public services in South East Edinburgh. You can sign my petition to the Scottish Government here.
Since 2012, the Scottish Government has overrode concerns from the City of Edinburgh Council that public services were not keeping pace with housebuilding in Liberton and Gilmerton.
It is right that we build houses to take pressure out of the housing market in Edinburgh, but my office hears daily from residents who cannot access GP services, primary school places for their kids or public transport services. This is not the welcoming environment that we wish to offer young families who decide to make Liberton and Gilmerton their home.
