Inch House
Inch House

It was great to be back at Inch House last week hearing about all their exciting plans for the use of the historic and iconic house and future development. This house has been a core part of the Inch community for much of its history and despite its underfunding and the challenges posed during the pandemic, it has the potential to be the centre of the community again. I am particularly excited about their plans to open a café in the house for the local Inch community.

I was grateful for the tour of the house from the management committee, which culminated in a brilliant and rare trip up to the roof. Truly an amazing spot with brilliant views of the Inch and all of Edinburgh.

I have always had a huge soft spot for Inch House not just because of the history of the building but the way that it is at the centre of the community.

the Inch House Community Centre Management Committee, do a hugely valuable job and I can’t thank them enough for all they are doing as custodians of the house and for the services they wish to provide to the local community.
