This month I had a really good visit to Age Scotland HQ on Causewayside.

We had a wide-ranging chat on the current issues affecting older people, their care and repair service, the services they offer and their free telephone helpline.

They do free income maximisation via their telephone line and get well in excess of £500,000 a year to older people who are entitled to support but don’t know about it or don’t know how to claim. It’s making a real difference to older people’s incomes. Age Scotland think the total might actually exceed £700,000 this year.
