It was wonderful to attend SE Edinburgh Foodbank’s 10th Birthday celebration last Friday alongside, James Campbell, CEO of Blythswood Care, Lindsay Isaacs, Trussell Trust Area Manager and Miriam Montgomery, SE Edinburgh Foodbank Coordinator.

At their party, I got the chance to thank them for the terrific work they do in providing emergency parcels to those most in need in EH16 AND EH17. It was also great to meet 45 of their supporters, donors and referral agencies who have worked with the foodbank throughout the 10 years it has been open in Burdiehouse/Southhouse. It’s an enormous indictment on our society and Scotland’s two governments that their work is so vital, however I can’t thank them enough for the support and help they have provided my constituents and I look forward to working with them more in the future.

My team and I will be up again next month to give them a hand.
