Scotland Questions this month was dominated by discussions of the historic spending review in which the UK Labour Government provided the Scottish Government with an additional £9.1 billion over the next three years.
This month marks a year since the election. In that time, Labour has raised the minimum wage, introduced legislation to ban exploitative zero-hours contracts and fire and rehire, and negotiated three trade deals which stand to be of particular benefit to Scottish businesses.
But with the NHS in Scotland ‘dying before our eyes’ there are real questions the SNP must answer about their failure to deliver for Scottish public services. Next year Scots will have the opportunity to deliver their verdict on 18 years of the SNP, and to choose a new direction with Scottish Labour.
