I am delighted to report that Sciennes Primary School were awarded the UNICEF award: Gold Rights Respecting Schools, last May.
Gold Rights Respecting is the highest level of the Award and is granted to schools that have fully embedded the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into their ethos and curriculum. The accreditation is valid for a period of three years. Sciennes Primary also featured in the latest UNICEF clean air campaign which you can read about here. P7 pupil Carys Gillespie also features on this sign up page here.
I know Sciennes Primary are really looking forward to a special visit from UNICEF later this month.
Well done to Gracemount High, who also won the Gold Rights Respecting award last year.
