I was delighted to accept an invitation to give the after-dinner speech at the local Probus group last month. Probus is a social and charitable group of retired professionals (pro) and business (bus) people. The topic of the speech was “The traditions of Westminster”. The discussion inevitably ended up talking about Brexit and how Parliament is dealing with such a totemic issue. It was an enjoyable event and I thank the Probus group for inviting me to attend.
