I don’t always have the opportunity to attend community council meetings as these are held midweek, so I was really pleased to be able to go along to the Morningside Community Council this month to discuss local issues and concerns.

One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was the City of Edinburgh Council’s proposals for a one-way traffic system in Braidburn Terrace. This proposal has strong support from local residents who voiced their concerns about the impact of the current situation. The Community Council also discussed the Council’s programme for installing energy efficient street lighting, with work due to commence in August 2020 in Morningside.
