Last week the Council formally approved the sale of Bruntsfield St Oswalds’s Church and Hall to the community. The hall was most recently used as an annex for Boroughmuir High School before the new school was built.

The plans, which have broad support amongst the community, are to develop the church and hall into a community asset used to provide wrap around child care for primary school pupils, extra-curricular activities for children and young people, as well as complementary services in conjunction with the Eric Liddell Centre.

Efforts will now turn to fundraising for the purchase and development.
