Residents in the Inch have set up a petition to protest after the Council identified the nursery in Inch Park as suitable for development.

The Choices for City Plan 2030 identified three broad courses for housing development: brownfield sites only, greenfield sites only, or a mixture. Whilst I support the brownfield only strategy, it is clear that the nursery site at Inch Park cannot be deemed brownfield in the classic sense and should not be included in any proposals for house building.

The Local Development Plan ‘City 2030’ is still in its infancy. When the council start to consult on specific sites I will campaign vociferously to have Inch Park excluded from any house building plan.
