In what promises to be a long and dark winter it is really important people abide by the rules and look after each other. One of the most inspiring aspects of a grim year has been people all over the country coming together and helping their neighbours. Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre in Moredun in particular have been nothing short of heroic: delivering food parcels and activity packs across the South of the city for the duration of the lockdown. Have a look on Goodtrees Facebook page to see all the great work they are doing.
They made a short film called “GameFace: A community in lockdown” which premiered at the Odeon Cinema in Wester Hailes on Wednesday. A real tribute to the young people who have been involved in helping others in the community over the last 6 months. It will be shown on their Facebook page from this Sunday. Check it out and well done.
