The long saga of Comiston Farmhouse rumbles on. The developer which was in the process of buying the house and surrounding grounds (83 Pentland View) has now informed the Council they are unable to proceed and will be withdrawing from the purchase.

This is of course very disappointing, and a bit of a setback for the local community. There had been some issues with the original planning application. However, I understood that a fresh application – which had the broad support of the community – was incoming.

Councillor Scott Arthur and I will continue working with residents to get the best possible outcome for the historic farmhouse. I will be keeping residents updated on the details of any upcoming sale and planning application.
