Tackling the climate and ecological emergency will require the complete decarbonisation of our society and economy. Enacting a clean, green energy revolution will be a key part of this.

Decarbonising will involve reducing our consumption of energy, restoring our natural environment and. of course, a complete transformation in the way we produce energy. Phasing out fossil fuels and replacing them with cleaner greener alternatives.

As part of my ongoing engagement events leading up to COP26 I will be hosting my 3^rd digital climate event focusing on clean energy on Thursday 22nd July at 5pm. We will hear from Transition Edinburgh South on the excellent work they are doing locally at Fairmilehead Energy Club and EMEC, who run the world’s first and leading facility for demonstrating and testing wave and tidal energy converters in Scotland. I am keen for as many people to come along as possible and help us build an Edinburgh South Climate Manifesto to present to COP26.
