A wonderful opportunity has emerged for primary students in the constituency! The Young Parliament event is taking place later this year and we need a representative for Edinburgh South. I know how many dedicated and passionate young people there are in this constituency. I am constantly amazed by the letters and emails I receive from young constituents, so to decide who to send, I thought I would run a small competition.

I want interested young people to send to me a short, 150-word, paragraph about an issue they care about and how they want to solve it. The winner will be sent to represent the great Edinburgh South in this year’s virtual parliament.

If you know a motivated young person, please help and encourage them to write in to me at ian.murray.mp@parliament.uk by 13th September.

Participants must be between ages 7-11 and still be no more than in their last year of primary school.
