Focus has rightly been on the cost of living crisis, however it is important to remember many small businesses are struggling too. This summer, as part of my “Cost of Doing Business Campaign” I have been speaking with business owners across Edinburgh South to hear what issues are affecting them.

The main issues business owners are raising with me are; energy costs, staff recruitment, Covid recovery, consumer confidence and local council issues.

I aim to organise a round table with businesses, the council and local stakeholders to formulate an action plan.
