I am extremely concerned to hear of proposed plans to shut the Strathearn Road Royal Mail Delivery Office, which serves constituents in the Southside.

These plans would leave my constituents with the City Delivery office on Russell Road (EH11) as their only option. This is prohibitive to those who do not drive or have a disability. There are other closer delivery offices but they are not large enough in capacity and only have short public opening times.

The potential job losses associated with this closure are also very worrying as well as the impact on the wonderful staff and posties that are based out of Strathearn Road.
