Ian is taking part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this•September 29th, and he wants the people of Edinburgh South to get involved.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides advice and services to those affected by cancer and their families, and are aiming to raise more than the 8.3m generated from last years events.

Ian said “I know that a considerable number of constituents have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring to both cancer patients and their family, and I know that Macmillan has been there to support many of those in need.

“That’s why I will be hosting a coffee morning and would urge constituents to consider holding their own coffee morning, or coffee evening. It’s an easy and fun way to raise money for Macmillan, and every penny you raise will help people with cancer.”

Last year Ian and local residents raised nearly £200 for Macmillan Cancer Trust and hope to do so again this year. The Coffee Morning event will take place at10.30am till 12 noon on Thursday 29th•September at Ian’s Constituency Office -; 31 Minto Street.
