Ian Murray MP Working Hard for Edinburgh South
The weekend of the 6th•and the 7th•June may have had some mixed weather, but it didn’t detract everyone from having a fantastic time at the Meadows Festival. Scottish Labour had our own stall there to•speak to constituents and listen to the concerns some of you had.

It was great to connect with everyone in such a festive atmosphere and hear the opinions voiced by those of all ages, who visited our stall.

The festival is a great way for various community groups and associations to promote themselves and to gain support for the people they represent. When the rain wasn’t pouring down I was thrilled to venture out to meet those who had given up their time for such great causes. Many new faces were met and I learned about a number of new community groups and organisations who put so much hard work and dedication into promoting their message.

All the•performers were•excellent as well and kept the party mood going all weekend. It is a credit to the community that such a brilliant event can be put together by volunteers who just want to have a great time with each other. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and I look forward to next year’s Festival.
