After the report of the serious sexual assault that took place in The Meadows last Saturday morning, Police Scotland have released a statement and an e-fit of the man they are looking to interview in connection with the attack.

The e-fit released by Police Scotland can be found by clicking here.

Detective Chief Inspector Alwyn Bell, who is leading the enquiry, said: “We believe this is a very good likeness of the man we wish to trace. He is described as being between 20 and 30, 5’4″ to 5’9” in height, of medium build and wearing a black beanie hat, dark trousers and black zip-up tracksuit top.

“This was a dreadful experience for the victim. It is essential we trace this man as soon as possible. I am appealing for anyone who recognises the description or e-fit picture of the man to call Police Scotland on 101 or provide the information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 as soon as possible.”
