I received information this morning from the police with regards to a fire-arm incident in Kenilworth Drive.• The information as to the police response is here.

You may be aware that during the early hours of Wednesday 11^th March 2015 an incident occurred in the Kenilworth Drive area of the city involving a firearm being discharged.

Officers are currently working hard to establish the full circumstances•around this incident, however I can report that no person was injured during this incident.• Our officers will be working in the area over the coming period in order to reassure the public and to establish the full circumstances.

There is no indication that the wider community are at risk, however I do appreciate that members of the community may be concerned.• As such, we will increase our policing presence and carry out reassurance patrols.•
