On Saturday 22nd August, I popped along to the annual Midmar Allotments Open Day. I joined local Councillor Paul Godzik to take in the fine selection of local produce.

We are lucky to have such green spaces in our local community and we must ensure that they remain in use for local people in the years ahead. That’s why the recent news that the nearby Midmar Paddock is being touted for potential development is such a concern.

I’ve been working with local residents and the Save Midmar Paddock campaign group since the start of the year on this and presented a petition to Parliament in March. Alongside Paul Godzik, I’ll continue to keep a watching brief on developments.
