South Mornigside Primary School Summer Fair is always a great day and this year’s event was no different. I attended along with MSP Daniel Johnson and was fully expecting to have to enter the stocks and have wet sponges thrown at me but thankfully Daniel and the local community Police Officer beat me to it.

I attend many school fairs and fetes at this time of year which are really important in raising funds for the schools.

Well done to the Parent Council members who organised such a great event and well done to all local parent councils who contribute so much to the success of our local schools.•
