I was pleased to meet with Dr Macgilchrist and the Alcohol Health Allegiance to see first-hand the disastrous effects low price alcohol can have on individuals, families and communities.••

As alcohol continues to be sold at low prices, the Alcohol Health Alliance is working with Dr MacGilchrist to highlight the implications of super strength alcohol products such as white ciders being available to buy for as little at 16p per unit. A recent report from the Alcohol Health Alliance found that for the cost of a standard off-peak cinema ticket you can buy seven and a half litres of 7.5% ABV white cider, containing as much alcohol as 53 shots of vodka.
