Residents of Moredun and Craigour will be relieved by the news that Moredunvale Road reopened on 1st August. This means the Number 8 and 18 buses will resume their normal routes.

The reprieve is temporary, however, as the road will need to close again to complete the final section. I have met with NHS Lothian and the contractors and been assured that residents who have mobility issues will be provided with a free taxi service to enable them to get to the shops, doctors and bus stops.

I have been assured that NHS Lothian and the contractors will communicate all this to residents in due course.
