|Responding to the exchange of letters between Theresa May and Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker, Ian Murray, Labour MP and Best for Britain champion, said:
“This letter is nothing but a fig leaf that fails to cover up the massive shortcomings in the Prime Minister’s deal.
“As the EU makes absolutely clear, nothing can be offered which changes or is inconsistent with the Withdrawal Agreement. Nothing has changed.
“That confirms this deal is the worst of all worlds, transforming the UK into a long-term rule taker.
“MPs must vote down Theresa May’s deal, and then we can move to offering the public the opportunity to choose to keep the best deal we currently have as a member of the EU through a people’s vote.”
