I wrote to Michael Mathieson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care about the dire state of Gracemount Medical Practice and primary care in South East Edinburgh more generally.

Patients at Gracemount received a text on Friday informing them that the practice was only seeing ’emergency’ cases because only one GP was working that day.

The SNP have consistently underfunded primary care in the area and, after approving mass housebuilding in the area, have failed to keep public services up to standard.
